LEGO MOC - Carcinus the Ussal

Carcinus was a very special Ussal crab, a gift from the Protector of Earth to the Protector of Stone. Having grown up alongside its master, Carcinus developed a strong sense of loyalty towards the wise guardian of Stone. 

When the menace of the Skull Spiders threatened the peace of Okoto, the Protector of Stone joined with the other Protectors in their effort to fulfil the Prophecy of Heroes. Fearing for Carcinus' safety, he insisted that the crab seek refuge and released it. However, the loyalty of Carcinus was not so easily broken, and it stayed in the Region of Stone to continue defending its inhabitants from the hordes of Skull Spiders that besieged it.

Carcinus' carapace was reinforced after years of enduring the harsh sandstorms of the Region of Stone. Although impressive in size, Carcinus is somewhat smaller than its Ussal brethren from the Region of Earth. Like all Ussal crabs, it has two pincers of terrific strength, able to cleave through rock and steel alike.

After weeks of struggling to come up with something, I suddenly felt like making one of my favourite creatures in LEGO: a crab. I wondered how it would fit in the Bionicle universe, then I remembered how much I liked Pewku and her loyalty to Takua, so it seemed right to make it an Ussal and a companion to a villager/Matoran.
